The Photo Festival Gacilly
Created in 2004, the Photo Festival offers a photographic experience in about 30 galleries. Recognized as a cultural event, it contributes to the development of the territory and therefore of Brittany. It presents the best of contemporary photo creation that allows us to question our relationship to the world and nature. These photographers are at the heart of the streets and gardens of the Gacilly. Indeed, this city offers a magnificent heritage that is perfectly suited to the 1000 images displayed. Some canvases sometimes reach up to 70 square metres.
This festival attracts a wide audience, be it connoisseurs or novices. It offers two themes each year. First, environmental, more precisely its protection and then geographical, which focuses on the contemporary creation of a country (Japan, sub-Saharan Africa...). These approaches, which are major subjects of society, show that Gacilly is concerned with the issues of humanity. The festival sends a message to the public. To maintain a lasting relationship with the earth in order to live in harmony with nature.
The festival offers excellent artistic programming. Indeed, nearly 330 prestigious photographers have been exhibited since 2004.
Since 2018, the photo festival has been present internationally, especially in Europe, based on the same concept in Austria in Baden. This festival programmed the presentation in Author the following year of the presentation in France.
Since this event is free, to carry out its missions, the festival collected donations. Indeed, with companies and individual festivalgoers who are on the pace during the festival.
Art, nature and well-being of Yves Rocher
In a simple attic, Yves Rocher was born in 1959 by Yves Rocher. This man fell in love with nature and wanted to create a maque of beauty accessible to all women. Mr. Yves Rocher decided to open his brand house at La Gacilly. This company has several commitments that made it famous. In particular, the one for the beauty of women and then for nature with its human values and territorial anchor.
Yves Rocher advises the public on three activities to be carried out. Through these entertainments, you will experience a unique experience to understand the Yves Rocher spirit. The immersive museum of La Gacilly
This museum has five rooms to discover absolutely. One of them tells the story of Yves Rocher and his vision and ambition for the brand. In the second room, the plant genius, you will marvel at the visual and sound staging. Inside, come and discover the plant world and its strength of life. Then you will be presented behind the scenes of plant cosmetics. This research laboratory demonstrates how plants range from plant to skin. You will see the process from botany to industrial manufacturing. You will not be disappointed by this attractive and informative exit. Finally, the fourth room presents the attic, i.e. where it all started.
A journey through time
You will travel in the time of 1959. You will enthusiastically understand Mr. Yves Rocher's strong commitment. Finally, the Yves Rocher Foundation will be addressed to you. With more than 100 million trees planted, Yves Rocher has been acting for nature for 30 years worldwide.
The entry price is 7.50€ for one adult and 5.50€ for children aged 4 to 17. The museum opens from Monday at 2pm until Sunday 7pm. The tour takes about 45 minutes.
The restaurant Vegetarium
Come and enjoy at the restaurant on Vegetarium in the room or on a terrace by the river. This restaurant offers gourmet cuisine, rich in flavours and colors in a green setting. The decor, both outdoor and indoor, matches the atmosphere of the brand: the plant.
The menu is 35€ per person and 11.50€ for children.
This beauty space will allow you to stay in the universe of Yves Rocher. Don't worry, consultants will be there to get you tested new products and to advise you according to your skin type. You will attend product testing sessions, beauty flash, beauty ritual learning as well as skin diagnostics. You can also continue to make-up space or space dedicated to the beauty of hands and nails.

The Yves Rocher house also opens its doors for events and animations such as shows and aperi-concerts. The house offers in summer, on Thursday evening, a varied and rich musical program at 7:30 pm. You can enjoy the exquisite menu all by enjoying an excellent evening.
